Sales channels

  • Paid plan: OTA sales channels

Sales channels is where you set up the online platforms that resell your activities: Klook, Viator and GetYourGuide. For each one you decide which seats it may sell, on which departures, at what price and until when.

The tab appears when your plan includes sales channels, for users who have access to sales. Changing settings also requires the right to edit sales.

Under Seats kept for direct sales, enter the Last seats of each trip never offered to a platform and click Save. Until you set it, 0 seats are kept.

  1. Open Channel settings under the platform.

  2. Agent: choose the agent this platform sells as. Its commission and allowed activities come from that agent (see Agents).

  3. Hold (minutes): how long a seat stays held for a platform booking that is not confirmed yet.

  4. Cut-off: Minutes before departure, or Day before, at a set time, then the minutes or the time.

  5. Price adjustment (%): applied to the activity price. Prices are rounded to whole units of your currency.

  6. Park fee collected by: Us, on site.

  7. Participants without a name: Refuse the booking.

  8. Inbound username and Inbound secret: the credentials the platform uses when it calls DiveHQ. The secret needs at least 24 characters, is stored hashed and cannot be shown again; leave it empty to keep the current one.

  9. Tick Channel on and click Save followed by the platform name (for example Save Klook).

Openings and products come once the channel settings are saved.

An opening offers a number of seats per departure and per day over a period.

  1. Click New opening.

  2. Choose the period (From, To) and the Seats per departure and day.

  3. Optional: a Price adjustment (%) for this opening only (empty = the channel’s), and Excluded dates on which the platform cannot sell. They must fall inside the period.

  4. Under Departures, keep All departures, present and future, or tick Only these.

  5. Click Add opening.

Closing or shrinking an opening never cancels seats the platform already holds.

A product is one of your activities as the platform sells it.

  1. Click New product and choose the Activity.

  2. Enter the IDs the platform gave you: OCTO product ID, OCTO option ID, OCTO unit ID, and if needed the Platform activity ID and Platform package ID.

  3. Switch it On and click Add product.

Only activities allowed for the channel’s agent and held in a single trip can be switched on. A product that no longer meets these rules shows a red warning, and every booking on it is refused. The activity and the OCTO IDs of a product cannot be changed afterwards: create another product instead.
