Promo Codes

A promo code is a word a guest types when booking online to get a discount, for example EARLYBIRD10. You decide how much it is worth, when it works, how many times it can be used and on which trips.

  1. Click New promo code.

  2. Promo Code Details: the Code guests will enter (unique), an internal Name, an optional description, and Active.

  3. Discount Configuration: choose the discount type — Percentage (off the total) or Fixed Amount — and enter its value. Optionally set a Minimum Purchase Amount and a Usage Limit (empty means unlimited).

  4. Validity Period: Valid From (empty: valid at once) and Valid Until (empty: never expires).

  5. Applicability: under Specific Trips, pick the departures the code works on, and/or under Specific Boats the boats. The code is valid on a trip that matches either list. Leave both empty for all trips.

  6. Save.

The list shows each code with its Discount, how many times it was Used, and its Valid From / Valid Until dates. Filter by Active, Currently Valid or discount type. Deleted codes can be listed with the trashed filter and restored.

When a guest enters a code in the online booking, it is checked at once. The guest gets a clear message if the code is unknown, not yet active, expired, has reached its usage limit, does not reach the minimum booking amount, or is not valid for this trip.
