Moalboal lies on the south-west coast of Cebu island. The municipality's tourism page describes the sardine run at Panagsama Beach, where schools can be reached a few metres from shore, and notes that early morning, roughly 7 to 9 am, is recommended for visibility. Turtles are often nearby, according to the same page.
